Yummy Sarawak Kolo Mee
We queued for more than 50 mins just to buy the famous kolo mee, the serving was slow and if you are the impatient type, good place to test your patience.
The stall sells different types of noodles but the one really catches the most attention of the foodies is their famous Sarawak kolo mee. The noodle was made with duck egg and added spinach to make it looks green, the noodle is about half of the width than the traditional mee pok and the serving was general with an impressive array of accompanying ingredients include wanton, char siew and veggy. We ordered both the Kolo mee and the yellow mee for comparison, the yellow mee was not worth to mention and it was still the Kolo mee created some interest.
We tried the Kolo Mee twice in the span of few weeks to verify the consistency, our first try of the Kolo was pretty good, the mee was springy and fine texture accompanied with the fine char siew and dumping, the seasoning goes well with the alkaline free mee which was flavourful and savory. However, our second visit was a little disappointing, the mee was obviously overcooked and too soggy. The quality control certainly needs to improve.
