Dried pork rib Bak Kut Teh

This is their signature dish, the pork ribs and slices of pig stomach was cooked in the claypot with dried cuttlefish, lady finger and dried chili and heavy seasoned. Pork ribs were tender and the taste of the cuttlefish was deeply infused into the ribs and that help to elevate the overall taste by a notch. It is a thumb up from us.

The chicken was fried with garlic and the sesame helped to enhance the flavour, overall a dish well like by most of us.

Malaysia style Bersing herb soup

The herb was distinctive and may be a little overwhelming but Pork ribs were tender and succulent.

This white thin salted noodle was made of wheat flour and most of the Bak Kut Teh shops commonly has this dish on the menu. Over at Soon Huat Bak Kut Teh, it uses the same broth as the Malaysia style Bersing herb soup and surprisingly turned out quite well.

Our verdict:

Soon Huat Bak Kut Teh has its unique flavoured to tempt the patrons, besides the reasonably priced and quite acceptable food quality, we applause their social responsibilities in helping many of the inmates giving them a second chance to move on with life, it simply makes the food taste much better with the passionate heart.
