Roxy Laksa is not a stranger to many Singaporean especially if you are one of the Laksa fans. Roxy Laksa has a long history in Singapore since the 50’s and now the 3rd generation took over the baton running the business.
Compared to other famous Katong Laksa, Roxy Laksa was mild in the gravy and less strong in the aroma, from the use of coconut milk to the pounded dried shrimp, we sense that the Laksa lack of the specific character of the great Laksa needed. May be the owner has taken the interest in the health conscientious of the public into consideration by modifying the ingredients to suit the public, however, the risks of losing the foodies support cannot be ruled out.
Roxy Laksa in general has the quality in other aspects, at least the use of ingredients is fresh and with fine quality, and the whole bowl of noodles was cooked with the heart.
Roxy Laksa may not be the best in Singapore but if you have sampled many others Laksa stalls here, perhaps, Roxy Laksa has not completely lost it hype yet.
