The signboard indicates that Roast Paradise was established since 1970, however, the stall at the hawker centre only started operation in recent years. The char siew that is popular in KL Malaysia has found its way into Singapore, thanks to the two young entrepreneurs who brought us this heavenly food.
Real good char siew or roasted pork comes from the premium meat of the pork. The perfect seasoning of the meat, perfect caramelized skin of roasting and the perfect tenderness and texture of the meat creates a piece of char siew that is succulent and divinely addictive. The first bite instantly received the wow effect from all of us, Roast Paradise obviously has arrived at the pinnacle for roast and is undoubtedly one of the best char siew in Singapore.
The roasted pork was equally good; it has the right proportion of fat to lean meat, and the texture of the roast meat was not oily and tender.
The garlicky rice is full of seductive fragrance, perfect pairing with the char siew.
Do not neglect the Hakka minced meat mee pok as well. The pale yellow noodle was tossed with light lard and mild seasoning, definitely not a bowl of noodle that soaked in oily sauce. Honestly, it was an aesthetically unappetizing noodle at first sight, however, it turned out every bite was a pleasant experience and sumptuously good.
The two young hawkers have created paradise with the alluring char siew and the roasted pork, top notch delicacies that will make you scream for more. To reiterate again, if there is a paradise to enjoy really good roast meat, it is Roast Paradise. A must try roast pork in Singapore.
