People and places Café @ Johor Bahru

Entrance to People and Places

We booked a Grab taxi and headed down to this ulu cafe which is out of the town and hidden right in the industrial area, while the taxi maneuvering through the clusters of lifeless factories during the Christmas eve, our nerve got a little tense if we got the location right.

Plenty of green vegetation

People and places occupied the lower deck of the two floors open concept units, the place has something growing abundance, lush green real plants are prominently displayed from the main entrance to the walls and the dining floor, it creates a comfortable and relaxing natural feel dining environment. Interior fittings are minimalistic besides the plants but overall good enough for you to snap some good Instagrammable photos.

more plants….

People and places is an Australia inspired cafe with a taste of Melbourne.

Another dish with a touch a Asian flavour, Kimchi infused cauliflower rice was fragrant and matched perfectly well with the luscious moist Salmon pan underneath the crisp Salmon’s skin. (4.0/5.0)

Carrot Cake

The flavour could be improved and a tad too sweet to our liking. (2.5/5.0)
