Min Nam pork ribs prawn noodle 闽南抢摊排骨虾面
We were just sitting a stone throw distance away from the stall and we happened in a good angle to observe the activities happening at the stall. What really caught our attention from the Min Nam pork rib prawn noodles not so much of the long queue but the extremely polite attitude of the stall owner. We are impressed with the cheerful and courteous manner of the uncle interacting with the customers, his smile and great attitude is definitely a big thumb up especially from a hawker. And we decided to join the queue to give the stall the support.
The stall is fortunate enough to receive the guidance from the famous chef under the Buzzing cashier (抢摊大行动) featured in channel 8 show, a show to help reviving ailing hawker in their business with the help from the local famous chef.
We ordered the dried mee hoon and yellow noodle mix with pork rib prawn noodle; the topping came with pork rib, a prawn, vegetable and of course, the chili sauce and a bowl of soup. The portion was reasonable and value for the money. The noodle was cooked to the right texture, not too soggy or hard, chili sauce blended fairly well with the noodles and we like it a lot. The pork rib was tender and soft; , the pork ribs were easy to the bite and not elastic, Min Nam certainly did well for this important topping. The prawn was considered of a reasonable size and fresh, cooked to a perfect finishing of springy meat and a good taste of sweetness.
We can taste the seafood flavour from the soup, likely the result from the prawn shells and perhaps the pork rib which gave the seafood the good seafood sweetness and the rich flavour.
Overall, the noodles at Min Nam Pork Ribs and Prawn Noodle is commendable and the excellent manner and attitude from the stall owner is something they deserve another big thumb up.
Keep it up Min Nam !
