Nice ambience

Good romantic place for a date

cosy and cool place

A good ambience itself is a bonus but it is the food that will eventually make it relevant.

Truffle Fries $10.90
Straight Cut Fries, Black Pepper Crush, Parsley, Parmesan Cheese, Truffle Oil, Truffle Mayo Dip

Truffle Fries $10.90

Perhaps a better quality potatoes fries and seasoning can be used to perk up the somewhat blandness fries, fortunately, the Truffle aroma was pervaded the air and the cheese helped to give the fries some good incentives to clear this snack. (2.8/5.0)

Truffle Eggs Croissant $12.90
Buttery Croissant, Scrambled Eggs Infused Truffle Oil & Fresh Greens

Truffle Eggs Croissant $12.90

Flaky and buttery croissant sandwiched the truffle scrambled eggs, everything in the plate abide to the standard protocol of an egg croissant for the taste and texture. Seriously, how much can you expect more from this ubiquitous dish? (3.0/5.0)

Knots Waffle Brekkie $18.90
Buttermilk Waffle, Smoked Beef Sausage, Baked Tomato, Streaky Bacon, Sauteed Mushrooms, Scrambled Eggs & Mesclun Salad

Knots Waffle Brekkie $18.90

Waffle was fluffy and packed with flavour, bacon was baked than the usual pan-fried crispier version which is not to our liking. Besides the bacon, beef sausage was great in taste and flavour, there is really nothing too critical about the rest of items in the plate. Overall, it was a pleasant breakfast set to kick start of the day. (3.0/5.0)

Seared Salmon $16.90
Pan Seared Salmon Fillet, Creamy Mashed Potato, Mesclun Salad, Balsamico Vinegar

Seared Salmon $16.90

Probably the least favourite dish of the day, the pan seared salmon somehow missing the right moist, texture and flavour.

Carbonara $13.90
Spaghetti, Streaky Bacon, Parmesan Cheese, Garlic, White Wine, Egg Yolk, Cream Sauce

Carbonara $13.90

Cheese, garlic, wine etc and the usual repertoire of flavour enhancers like in most Spaghetti preparations, it does the balancing act making the Carbonara perky yet pleasant to the taste buds. (3.0/5.0)

Our verdict

Knots cafe and Living’s combining of food, plants and furniture in styling the space to create a warm and comforting atmosphere, there may be some hits and misses with the food served, however, it is somehow a place ideal for a romantic date with its lovely vibe environment, it is also a good chill out place with friends or family – a place ultimately make you feel good when you stepped out of Knots café and Living.
