Khoon Kee Tasty Prawn Mee & Char Kway Teow @ Redhill Food Centre
It is a bit struggles to drawn any concise conclusion with this prawn mee. Just to clarify, we are not in the opinion the prawn mee is no good and in contradiction, we find the prawn mee is actually awesome. Maybe we are too accustomed to the traditional prawn mee flavour, the presence of the sourness from the vinegar in the chili sauce for the dry version was an unexpected surprise in this prawn mee, it took us lots of hesitation for the tastebuds to analyze and endorse the unique flavour.
The noodle was perfectly cooked and a slurp worthy goodness with the condiment sauce. The base was a rich luscious sauce redolent with a hint of distinct vinegar sourness and a right spiciness to perk up the flavour.
Three relatively big size prawns greatly enhanced the perceived value and definitely a thumb up by the customers. The accompanied soup was a concoction of seafood freshness and sweetness, unlike many other prawn mee soup, Khoon Kee soup base is not too fishy and a pleasant to the tastebuds. A thumb up from us.
Khoon Kee Tasty Prawn Mee & Char Kway Teow Our verdict:
Khoon Kee prawn mee has its own uniqueness in the taste, the bafflement at our first bite soon find it hard to shake off its allure. Well, may be we are too judgmental at the beginning but our sensory finally corrected our perception. It is indeed a good prawn mee worth to patronize.
