Hock Shun Traditional Homemade Curry 富順正宗咖喱

Curry has a unique flavor that is pungent and earthy from the blend of savory spices. The bright red, hue yellow or green curry adds the versatility in both the taste and flavour. We love curry for its seductive look and felt compelled to try.

Hock Shun Traditional Home-made Curry slants more towards the traditional Chinese curry style with its much thicker gravy and orangey spices, served in the claypot and you have a choice of french loaf or Turmeric rice.
Hock Shun Traditional Home-made Curry offers variety of curry, besides the traditional chicken wing or chicken thigh, you can opt for curry fish, curry mixed vegetables or curry yong tau foo.

We tried the chicken wings with the bread ($4) that comes with 2 wings and 2 drumsticks and potatoes. The curry was piping hot which is critical for a good curry, the temperature made the supposedly chili-hot curry more appealing and appetizing. Not too worry if you can’t handle fiery hot chili, the spiciness of the curry was within the tolerable range. The richness of the curry portrayed how well balanced spices were and created a nice flavor that accentuated the scrumptious taste.
Our verdict
Hock Shun Traditional Home-made Curry offers a value for quality curry dishes, the gravy has a wholesome homemade taste though can be a little daunting in the use of the spices. However, it is still worth to be freaked out by the cholesterol and be enchanted by the bowl of moreish curry.
