The Heng Heng Bak Kut Teh Menu
As much as we all love to eat bak kut teh, that will not really be the case for Heng Heng Bak Kut Teh. There’s another star at the Heng Heng Bak Kut Teh – some delicious steamed fish!
While it is expected that bak kut teh should be the star – the pork ribs soup doesn’t really work with me. It’s good, and they have their own flavor to it, but there were some reasons why I didn’t really think it was cutting out for me.
The bak kut teh was a bit expensive because of the abalone that they include in the dish. Personally, I like to stick to the classic pork rib soup alone – it always has something to do with preferences and taste. No matter what being a food enthusiast brings, I still only have simple and classic taste buds to satisfy.
While this is the case with the bak kut teh, according to the friend who recommended it, they love the bak kut teh because of the not-so-peppery taste – you get the tasty, sweeter side of a bak kut teh instead.
The steamed fish, on the other hand, is amazing. I could just feel the soft meat on my tongue – subtle flavors, it’s a good dish. It’s not my all-time favorite dish, but it’s one of those dishes that when you think about it, you just have to have it at that exact moment. I would highly recommend heading there early, you get to catch the fresher options in the morning.
To be honest, I think the fish would be the best at Heng Heng Bak Kut Teh. I basically thought the first time I went there, everyone had ordered fish – and the others had more fish on the table than bak kut teh.
Heng Heng Bak Kut Teh is a great place to dine, especially when you would like a simple and comfortable place to enjoy good, fresh seafood. They also have their own twist to the traditional bak kut teh, which is an admirable trait for the restaurant.
