Dju Dju Nasi Padang

“You will come back for more” the affirmative statement printed as the tagline prominently displayed as part of the signboard of Dju Dju Nasi Padang Indonesian Food, customers were made the beeline for the stall and incessant queue never seen to break during the lunch hour when we were there. We are pretty sure the accolades and awards displayed at the stall help to enthrall the attention of the patrons, just as how it gripped our curiosity wanted to find out more.

Mee Rebus

The popular mee siam was out of stock and we had to settle down with the mee rebus, it was an ordinary plate of mee rebus and nothing worth to shout about.

Ayam Penyat

The ayam was topped with fried shredded turmeric to add another dimension to the taste, chicken was a little dry and ordinary in the seasoning. The biggest setback was the cold dishes including the rice they served, seriously, we don’t understanding why they not bother to keep the food warm and feeding the customers with all the cold dishes. To us, no matter how good the taste of the food, the overall impression could be ruined by the cold food which is supposed to be hot or warm.

Mixed Rice

Chicken drum was well marinated with the spices to produce a hot and pungent curry perfect to go with the white rice. The Achar was a thumb up for its well balance sweet and sour favour.  Omelette egg was rather unique that served in a thick slab with plenty of onion as the ingredient.

Dju Dju Nasi Padang Indonesian Food Verdict :

Will we come back for more? Well, maybe for the mixed rice for the time being till we have the opportunities to validate other dishes on the menu. The price could be on the high side and do mind your order if you don’t plan to spend a bomb on your meal.
