The Glutton family was invited to attend the launch of the cookbook “Best Brunch Ever – Delicious Morning Recipes to Savour” by Tools of The Trade (ToTT) and the opportunity to sample the dishes prepared by the famous chefs. Since ieatandeat is a food blog featuring good food, how can we not to share with our viewers the food specially whipped up by the chefs from their live demonstration of the culinary skills?

The cookbook featured more than 20 different dishes and on the day we got the chance to have a taste of four of the dishes personally prepared by the four chefs.

The dishes are:

Cornbread Wedges With Bacon Jam by Chef Dan Segall, The Big Idea

The corn bread was well complemented by the bacon jam. The sweetness of the corn bread was superficial; however, once married with the bacon jam, you can completely appreciate the beauty of both.   

Eggs ‘A La Coque’ by Chef Nicolas Joanny, Nicolas Le Restaurant

The egg was soft boiled to keep the egg yolks runny and the egg white slightly set, topped with the cream sherry vinegar mixture. A perfect brunch to go with the sweetness of the shrimp wrapped in the crispy of the feuille de brick.     

Spaghetti Piccanti by Chef Antonio Facchinetti, Prego Restaurant

Simplicity but with the depth and substance, courageously of using biscuit crumb made the spaghetti taste with the extra fragrance.


Báng Cuon by Chef Chi Quang Trinh, Addictions Café and Remedy Bar

A typical Vietnamese dish, the Bánh cuốn is made from a thin, wide sheet of steamed fermentedricebatter filled with seasoned ground pork, minced wood ear mushroom and minced shallots. A light touch in taste with plenty of green making the dish a healthy choice.
