A-One Claypot House

A-One Claypot House – little expectation but left with great satisfaction

Going round the water fountain in Suntec city looking for a place for dinner, everywhere was so crowded and ended at A-One Claypot House since the queue is the shortest. There is no high expectation on the food as we just need to find a place to pacify the growling stomaches.

A-One Claypot House specialises in claypot but do serves other family style comfy food. The food on the menu looks ordinary and nothing catch our attention.

Omelette with Pork Floss $12.90

Omelette was thinly fried with Chai Po and topped with pork floss, a relatively simple dish but a good reflection the quality of the chefs, it is not the slobbishly cooked omelette you usually find from many of the zi char stalls or restaurants around. The combination of sweet and savoury is subtle for this luscious dish.

Lotus with Assorted Vegetables $12.90

The tender chicken meat was infused with the well balanced flavour from the spices and seasoning, it made a perfect marriage with the silky porridge.

The glass teapot and tiny glass cup created a nice clear contrast of this crimson drink, We like Roselle tea for its close similarity in taste to the Rebena drink and the added dried fruits for the sweetness. A grunting choice after a heavy meal.

A-One Claypot House Our Verdict:

There was no high expectation when we first stepped into the shop but we left with high satisfaction of the food. A-one claypot house impressed us with their great emphasis in attaining to provide a hearty and comfort food in the most alluring manner.
