Signature Fishball Noodles $6.0
The mee pok texture was cooked to the right firmness and not soggy, base seasoning sauce could be more flavourful. The chili sauce was missing the “shiok” effect but fishballs that made of yellowtail fish were bouncy and chewy, similarly, the fishcakes which were dense in flavour.
Pork ribs noodle $5.0
The noodle was nicely done and the pork ribs were well-seasoned, having fully absorbed the essence of the braised sauce and spices. Texture of the meat has some room to improve for a more tender texture.
The complementary soup was tasty, we can fully appreciate the sweetness from the anchovies and the added preserved radish (dong cai) to make a bowl of salivating soup.

A bowl of noodle immersed in a sweet and tasty broth.
Our verdict
At 85 Redhill Teochew Fishball Noodles, you can basically savour a reasonably good noodle. Toppings like the fishball, meatball, pork ribs and fishcake are the real McCoy here. The seasoning sauce for the dry version needs more work to create the excitement – which sometimes could make the difference between ordinary and outstanding.
