11 Hamilton is a cafe offers a contemporary Australian inspired menu, it is also a cafe that can partially convert to an event place, leaving only a small section for the dining in. No fanciful decoration but simple and comfortable environment for a meal.

11 Hamilton do not have a complicated menu but good enough to meet most of the taste buds, choice of vegan dishes is also available for specific diet requirements.

Hamilton Chicken 5 pc ($12.0)

Hamilton Chicken 5 pc ($12.0)

The Korean style fried chicken wings were topped with chef’s special sauce, decent in taste but not something that will make you die for it, meat was juicy with hint of sweetness and spiciness, not too hot that could make your tongue burnt. (3.0/5.0)

Fried Sweet Potatoes ($9.0)

Fried Sweet Potatoes ($9.0)

Decided to opt for the fried sweet potatoes than the usual French fried, it may not have the crispiness compared to the French fries, but the taste was nice with its fragrant and sweet flavour from the sweet potatoes. (3.2/5.0)

Deconstructed Spanish Omelette ($22.0)

Deconstructed Spanish Omelette ($22.0)

Jamon Chorizo doused with piquillo mayo on a bed of omelette. Served with wild rocket salad and baby carrots. Honestly, we expect more on this dish but what turned out to be ordinary from both the flavour and texture. (2.5/5.0)

Shashuka regular ($18.0)

Shashuka regular ($18.0)

Baked eggs in a tomato bell stew with baked beans, fetak cheese, dukkoh, served with sourdough bread in a metal pot. Shashuka existed in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions, a healthy dish ideal for breakfast, lunch, or even dinner for this vegetarian stew meal. We like the Shashuka here for its earthy and pleasantly nice flavour, dipping the sourdough into the pot of tomato-spice-egg stew and bite into the fully soaked bread was just an enjoyment. (3.8/5.0)

Umami Mushroom Regular ($16.0)

Shashuka regular ($18.0)

Grilled oyster and shiitake mushroom on sourdough, topped with fried enoki & with wild rocket & bruised tomatoes, comes with a side of mushroom garlic sauce. You can enjoy the earthy flavour from the ingredients with the chef go easy on the seasoning, the umami factor was very much derived from the taste of nature and a heathy meal for anyone. However, if you expect strong flavour from the seasoning to bring up the taste, perhaps this is not the right pick for you. (3.0/5.0)

Chicken Liver Pate ($12.0)

Chicken Liver Pate ($12.0)

Served with gherkins and raisin bread, Chicken liver pate is the McCoy of the dish, this pate has a mellow texture and mild-rich liver flavour, not overwhelmed with buttery taste, a delicate small bite to go with the gherkins and bread. (3.0/5.0)

Banana Loaf ($5.0)

Banana Loaf ($5.0)

No dairy or egg is used but the chef still delivered the amazing taste and texture. If you like the Banana cake from the popular JB pastry shop, the banana loaf here should not be too disappointed. (3.8/5.0)

Sesame Yuzu ($7.5)

Sesame Yuzu ($7.5)

When i saw the wifey and daughter standing in front of the cake display for a long time, i can sense a serious problem coming, knowing the cakes has a formidable magnetism force to lure the two ladies to be completely succumbed to the sweet temptation, and truth enough, both came back buying not one or two but THREE slices of cakes in one go!

However, we must acknowledge that 11 Hamilton do offers good quality pastries, the Sesame Yuzu was salivating with its well-balanced sweetness and flavour coupled with its soft and fluffy texture. A thumb up from us. (4.0/5.0)

Lemon Loaf ($5.0)

Lemon Loaf ($5.0)

The two ladies kept saying they felt less guilt to consume the cakes here with Its less sugary content as well as all-natural flavours and colours ingredients. Well, ladies always have thousand and one reasons to justify the feast when come to desserts, but I have to agree it was another nice creation on the menu.

Matcha Latte ($5.5) & Hot Chocolate ($6.0)

Matcha Latte ($5.5) & Hot Chocolate ($6.0)

Our verdict

11 Hamilton will be your go-to spot if you are the fans of contemporary Australian inspired culinary and with a fusion twist, the emphasis on the earthy and natural flavour with finest ingredients could be a preferred place to look for a healthy meal. You can nag at the ladies for ordering so many pastries and cakes but honestly, it worth the try.
